GRAFTON, Ill. – Parts of Illinois saw over three inches of snow today plus inches. Grafton still has a nice coat of snow on the ground with parks, neighborhoods, and trees covered in white.
Folks in Alton only got about an inch of snow but the ice was visible. One business owner downtown shovels his sidewalk making sure to get the ice off the ground before temperatures drop again.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Transportation officials say a stretch of Interstate 70 westbound into Kansas City will likely be closed until Monday morning.
A fire under a bridge over Truman Road on the interstate killed a homeless person and did significant damage to the interstate.
FORISTELL, Mo. (AP) — Authorities say a Kentucky woman was killed after walking in front of a semi-truck in Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 73-year-old Bonnie Stinson of Bowling Green, Kentucky was hit near the Highway W and Interstate 70 overpass in St. Charles County.
